If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
Looking at the state of our nation, there are many things that can concern us as Christians. But our response must be bathed in prayer as we contemplate how we live in Christ. Today's podcast is a bit outside of the lines as various aspects of prayer are addressed. The need for personal repentance is key. It is where we begin before we look outward. From there we look at the areas we influence most directly; who are we responsible for and who do we need to preach the Gospel to? Finally we pray for and lift up the church, locally and beyond. The church is still God's means to build and advance His kingdom. It has gone through some tough days and is still in the process of refining. But it is being positioned for His will and purpose.
Spend some time in prayer today over these areas and join Derek...both this time and next in praying for this land. God is up to something! We trust Him and want to see many still come to know Christ.
