Show Notes

Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?  Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?  And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?  Matthew 6:25-27

A couple months ago, I did a podcast/blog series titled "Letters To The Hurting."  Much of what Jesus addresses in Matthew 6:25-27 could be used in those same messages.  Those who are hurting; those afraid, broken, worried, etc...the needs of all are met through the Father.  See the birds and see nature as a whole:  God created it all and sustains it all.  If He cares that much about just the little things (insignifcant birds), how much more does He care about you and I?  Today's podcast is a reminder of that and also a charge to say worry must not be a word in the believer's vocabulary.  Fear not, God is in control!
